XL100 Vial & Liquid Handler

Automates liquid transfer in-line with re-array, sample weighing, volume checking, and data collection for a wide variety of common laboratory sample vials

The XL100 Liquid Handler adds single channel pipette function to the XL100 platform.  This allows liquid transfers to occur in-line with sorting, scanning, decapping, and weighing operations. 

The pipette allows controlled dispense, aspirate, and mix cycles which complements the XL100’s barcode readers, balance, decapper, and other options.  

After processing the vial samples, the XL100 software generates output files with vial sample data. The XL100’s 20 position deck allows unattended processing of tubes or vials.

The XL100 is configured for use with labware per user requirement.  A typical configuration may be a 20 position deck with a pick and place system for 96 tube racks and 4mL vials. Additional configurations include systems for processing vacutainers, 2mL plastic tubes, HPLC vials, cryo vials, and many other types of vials.  The XL100 can be setup to work with a range of tube racks and vial trays.

The XL100’s 4-place balance (or optional 5-place balance) allows walk-away automation of tube or vial weighing.  The barcode scanner option allows capture of either 2D or 1D tube IDs. The vial decapper allows decapping, dispense, and recapping operations. This allows decapping 4mL glass vials prior to weighing, or adding fresh caps to uncapped vials.
